LEX Login with Microsoft 365 (User guidance)

LEX can be configured so that Microsoft 365 login credentials can be used to access LEX (replacing standard LEX usernames and passwords). This is a major advancement in:

Security – Microsoft 365 logon security becomes the trusted ‘front door’ to LEX, including multi-factor authentication. Placing LEX behind this architecture helps to reduce threats to Chambers’ data significantly.

Convenience – By leveraging the Microsoft 365 login, users only need one chambers password to access LEX and other day-to-day applications, like Word, Excel, Outlook. It also brings time saving features such as ‘Face ID’ login to LEX Mobile.

What’s Required?

Chambers must already have a pre-configured fully licensed & managed Microsoft 365 tenant environment. Opus 2 LEX will not provide or configure this. Chambers IT Administrators (or external IT providers) will be required to make modifications to the Microsoft 365 tenant settings and provide key information to Opus 2 LEX before the service can be enabled.

Once LEX Login with Microsoft 365 is enabled standard login features of LEX will no longer be accessible. Therefore, all LEX users will require profiles within the Microsoft 365 tenant and be fully licensed & trainied prior to the new login process ‘going live’.

What Does It Cost?

LEX Login with Microsoft 365 is a FREE bolt-on addition to LEX. However, management of the implementation and go-live will be billed at our standard hourly rate (£145 plus VAT per hour, capped a maximum of half a day).

What is the log in/out process?
